It even fixes game-breaking bugs from Project M when it comes to Subspace Emissary, clear mode, and other modes. An increasing number of tournaments use Legacy TE, which, similarly to 20XXTE for Melee, adds quality of life features and additional tournament-focused content to PM. With that being said, the most prominent Project M mod out there is Legacy TE. While I understand Project M's existence on this wiki has been debated in the past, I am of the opinion that it's still big enough and relevant enough within the Smash community to stick around - and more or less, that seems to be the general consensus of the wiki staff.
